Principle difference: The liquid crystal pixels of TFT LCD screens are driven by integrated thin-film transistors. The principle of LCD screens is to fill liquid crystal material between two parallel plates and use voltage to change the arrangement of molecules within the liquid crystal material to display images. 


Composition differences: The TFT screen is composed of a liquid crystal panel along with corresponding driver boards, power boards, high-voltage boards, key control boards, etc. The LCD composition consists of: polarizing plate, glass substrate, Blackmatrix, color filter, etc. 


Distinct features: TFT LCD screens can achieve high-speed, high-brightness, and high-contrast display of screen information. LCD screens consume less power, have a longer lifespan, and are cheaper. 


Display effects are different: TFT screens can offer higher resolution and higher pixel density, thus enabling them to display clearer and more detailed images. They can also provide a wider viewing angle, so that the image won't distort even when viewed from different angles. LCD screens have relatively lower resolution and pixel density, so their images may not be as clear. Their viewing angle is also narrower, so if viewed from different angles, the image may distort. 


Energy consumption differences: The power consumption of TFT screens is higher than that of LCD screens because it requires more power to control each pixel. However, due to the faster response time of TFT screens, they can complete the display task in a shorter period of time, thereby saving electricity. LCD screens have relatively lower power consumption because they require less power to control each pixel. However, because of their slower response time, they need a longer time to complete the display task, thus consuming more electricity. 


TFT screens and LCD screens are both types of liquid crystal displays, and their display principles and technologies are similar. There are no significant differences in terms of eye protection. However, some TFT screens use LED backlighting, which can make the screen's brightness more uniform and also reduce blue light radiation, thereby minimizing the irritation to the eyes. However, if TFT screens use CCFL backlighting, this backlighting method will generate more blue light radiation, which may cause certain harm to the eyes.
